Just an hour from Turin airport it’s the ideal spot for a lazy long weekend or a week of exercise and healthy living in the French Alps.
We have a large garden at your disposal.  Why not lounge in a deck chair on our sun terrace or breathe in the mountain air from your own private balcony?  All our rooms have large south facing balconies.
Our chalet overlooks the beautiful 18 holes franco-italian golf course and mountain lake; take in the stunning view from the comfort of our Jacuzzi!
Knock yourself out during the day, with some gentle relaxation by the swimming pool, or full on action sports, then retreat to the gentle calm of the Pot de Miel.  Relax and recuperate in the Jacuzzi, detox in the sauna and treat yourself to some pampering with a delicious home cooked meal using seasonal produce and hand picked market ingredients.

Sports and action:

  • Mountain biking.  Host of the French Championship, Montgenevre boasts everything from hard core trails to gentler ones for a family day out.  Access the peaks by cable car, stop in at the bike park on the way down and test your skills on the technical circuit situated at over 2000m altitude.  Bring your own bike or hire one in town, lessons available.
  • Cycling.  Do the famous passes of the Tour de France.  Easily accessible from Montgenevre: the Galibier, the Lautaret, and the Izoard.  We can organise to pick up/drop off at any point in your itinerary.
  • Canyoning, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, airboats and hot dogging on local rivers (the Guil, the Guisane, the Durance).  All just a fifteen minute drive from Montgenevre.

There are loads of exciting activities for die hard white water lovers, or gentler family activities for the slightly less adventurous.  A great way to see the region, travel down the river from Briancon to Embrun!  Michel, your host, is a qualified white water guide       All activities are led by qualified white water instructors on a number of local rivers (the Durance, the Guil, the Guisane)

  • Hiking.  From the village access the summits by foot (from our doorstep) or by cable car.  Climb the Chaberton (3141metres) and discover the ancient fortress and spectacular 360° views of Italy and France.  Take one of the many marked trails in and around Montgenevre, the beautiful Clarée valley, in Italy or leading down to Briançon.

Montgenevre is also a great stop over on the GR5.  Why not treat yourself to a night of  luxury on your epic adventure?
To see fields of wildflowers don’t miss the month of June.
